A message for the Australian Brain Tumour Community
A Special Resolution Meeting to vote on the motion to voluntary Wind – Up BTA and for any assets to be transferred to The Sydney Neuro Oncology Group [SNOG] - http://www.snog.org.au/ was held on Friday 29th August 2008.
We regret that from October 1st 2008 Brain Tumour Australia will be unable to continue as a consumer organisation and are sorry that we are unable to acknowledge your continuing support via our website. Any recent donations received by BTA have been forwarded to SNOG and a tax deductible receipt will be issued from this organisation forthwith. We apologise for any distress this action may cause you. Donations in memory of an individual are personal and sensitive and it is not our wish to add to your grief.
All remaining assets will be transferred to SNOG once the annual audit has been completed, outstanding accounts paid and required documentation forwarded to the relevant Governmental regulatory body in Canberra.
